Oh Susi your last comment made me very happy...
My pal and I are going next month and we are both Andrew daft!

Thank you for the report, Susi! I'm glad you and your son enjoyed it. It sounds great - would love to go one day (when finances allow!).

Happy you got to do that Suzi.
I've never had much interest in escape rooms, but I don't know if I could resist this one.

I've only done one, but I enjoyed it...can't wait for this.

Okay, so I escaped!
The first trial was trying to find the place: my pal and I both walked right around Shepherd's Bush, before we found the venue...which is clearly marked, when you get there.
We teamed up with a lovely young Berlin couple(yay for the Germans!), who were also brilliant at solving the puzzles.
We had great fun and did quite well.
As has been reported: Andrew features largely. My pal and I are both fanatics, but even we agreed he was well OTT. But brilliant and funny and I have Andrew gossip for anybody who wants it. Ha!
Mark was just perfect Mycroft.
Martin didn't look so much like John, but what he said and how he said it was excellent.
You just get audios of Molly and Sherlock. I actually thought Benedict the least convincing, but he was still quite good.
The sets are fantastic and the Sherlock themed bar is amazing.
I do have a photo, which I will try and upload..

Hey, besleybean, can I stow away in your suitcase the next time you go? =)

Ha.
Have to say, it was one of my best London trips ever, this time:
Ian, Mark, Tom Hiddleston and the Escape Room.

Thanks for reporting back. It sounds like great fun! I won't be going to see it on account of living in Canada, but how long is it going on for?
And I would love to hear about the Andrew gossip if you are willing to share.

To be honest, this is what made the whole experience so gratifying.
It was one one of those that I wondered if it was ever really going to happen, I guess a bit like some people felt over the coms.
It opened nearly 3 months late.
But I am glad they obviously took their time to get it right.
I understood that it was then going to close at the end of this month and then possibly tour.
But the way they have it set up now, wiith the beautiful Sherlock themed bar at the end...
my pal was telling me the plan is now for it to be a permanent feature and hire it out for functions.
She thinks they may also hold screenings there etc.
She was saying how it would be a shame to dismantle all of the beautiful sets, after such a short period...
Though I did point out that was exactlly what they did after every series of Sherlock!

So would many of us.
But we just don't know if it will ever happen.

The escape room has been prolonged until the end of the year, bookings are open now. This is good news.
