Why can't he drive? He's the man with a van, isn't he? Oh, you were thinking of Martin Freeman, I suppose. Sorry. Just listened to Ottery St. Mary.
Enjoy your meal, Davina, especially the fortune cookies.

Martin cannot drive either.
Unthinkable, in the US, with the one exception I know about-- those who live in Manhattan, NYC. Other than that, pretty much everyone drives here, especially those who don't live near public transportation. Our country's infrastructure was built and planned around the car, made possible by our own oil production, and so it remains today, with very few exceptions.

Congratulations on the new driver in the family Davina!
Another exception in the U.S. is in the SF Bay Area - many kids (most) who go to the same high school as my nephew in San Francisco don't see the need to
drive, since the public transportation is pretty good here. Also, the restrictions on driving under 18, and the insurance costs don't
make sense to them, so they wait. I'm way older than 18, and I never drive at all except on weekends.
I would love a fortune cookie just about now.

***He doesn’t drive (“I’ve never taken a lesson. There are better things to spend money on )***
From this article:
Great article. Anyone who loves/admires Martin should read it-- as I did, I was reminded of the expression still waters run deep. Wow.

I'm pretty sure Amanda drives though.
I will put the link above in the Martin Freeman section too if that's alright.

I dreamed of a fanfic I want to write about the doctor and Sherlock meeting. It's got three ideas....And one involves the doctor's sonic screwdriver.......

Wish I had! It was less than average. The food was ok(ish) but the rest (service etc.) was very poor. Still tonight we are off to the 21st birthday bash of the son of a couple of friends which should be good. They have a rodeo bull booked - not a real one I hasten to add! The weather is starting to cool down now. Autumn is definitely arriving. Sadly there are some swallow chicks in one of my stables that are not to going to survive . A second brood and hatched too late to be able to migrate to Africa with the rest.

Ooh yay I was wondering if there was a chit-chat thread here... I spent 14 hours at work today and it seriously cut in on my Benedict/Sherlock time. Gotta fit some more in tomorrow!

Well rodeo was great but weather was pants! I'm off to walk by doggies now. Laterz!

All sunny here. And the cat is not amused. He's got a cold and has to stay inside. MEEEWWW!!
This will be a fantastic, silent and relaxing sunday.

Same over here - but no cat.
As I had to work in the office yesterday due to unfinished and urgent tasks I'm now hoping for a relaxing Sunday as well.

No cat. Raise you two dogs. All quiet at the moment...

The cat won and is outside. All quite now, too.

My daughter just moved to her own little flat in the house and look where she put my latest book. *insert proud smiley*

Your daughter apparently wanted to make sure that the dead lady from Charlottenburg will not run away!
(My copy won't either. It's seated under my Kindle.)
