It's quite a fun story.

I found it horrible. Poor Watson. But after the fall and everything that happened afterwards, our Sherlock would not pretend to be dying too.

Or would he???

Re: Any special preparations?

Maybe he would if it was necessary to save John.

I have to say, I don't feel as emotionally invested in the ACD stories, and don't find them as distressing, if that's the word, as Sherlock.  I thought TDD was quite clever, and I like the relationship between Holmes and Watson in it.  Watson is part of it, if unwittingly, and Holmes only keeps him in the dark because he knows he's clever enough to see the truth and wouldn't have been as convincing - I suppose it's a bit like the way Sherlock keeps John in the dark, as you say.  But it's only for a short time, and is nicely resolved,

Re: Any special preparations?

My best friend can't come and watch it with me... so I've made some changes to my preparations...

So today I bought a bottle of fancy pink sparkling lemonade (from a company started in 1895), licorice pipes, and a tub of 'Caramel-Sutra' ice cream *coughs*

I've still got some of the Ginger Nuts too, and most of the chocolate eyeballs left too

Well tomorrow I'll just be heading to the cinema with a bottle of mineral water and a pack of tissues!

Re: Any special preparations?

Awesome that you have Ginger Nuts!

I got three cans of beer and crisps for tomorrow. (Since I'm watching on iPlayer I can pause it if I need to use the loo, and there are subtitles for crisps).

Hope you have a good time!

Awesome!
I should do the same. And I will lock my door to be sure that noone will disturb me. And I can privately cry my eyes out

I understand completely! Last week my eyes and thoughts were glued to the screen, I totally forgot to eat the very delicious chocolate I had ready. Only took one or two sips of water.

Re: Any special preparations?

I normally don't even manage that, I am concentrating so hard.
Swear to god if anybody at the cinema distracts me!
At least I will be able to catch up on TV the next day.

Re: Any special preparations?

Haha, thank you for reminding me of the ice cream disaster! It'll probably happen tomorrow night again!

I hope people show some respect, besley! I know how I was about to explode several times when I was at the Doctor Strange gala... people running in and out constantly!

Re: Any special preparations?

They weren't particularly silent when I saw Strange, either.
But it doesn't require as much concentration nor is as important as Sherlock.

Re: Any special preparations?

The only preparation I'm making is waiting for the DVD to come out!  I've ordered it, and it's supposed to come out on the 24th.

This keeps playing in my head (and now also on my computer)

I have a glass of wine, some food. I think I am as ready as I ever will be.
