Re: BFI screening 12 January (may contain TFP spoilers)

I assume that's directed at Nakahara.

Re: BFI screening 12 January (may contain TFP spoilers)

Yes, I saw the video.  One of the links said that Steven said something insulting, but I didn't hear it.  Maybe it's his accent!

This is not a big spoiler for me because it is what I expected, and actually, what they've told us all along.  But maybe it shouldn't have been shared just yet, in that context.  There is a difference between not getting the ending you were were hoping for, whilst still being caught up in a wonderful show with a different but great ending, and just hearing bluntly that you're not getting the ending with nothing to compensate.

Like it says, non-spoilery spoilers.

Thank you!  A little bit spoilery, but still leaves lots of room for speculation.

I, for one, am greatly looking forward to seeing Mycroft's "huge part".

Now I feel I'm finding out too much about it!  But it all sounds fantastic, truly.  There will be some something for Mystrade shippers!  Bring it on!  (Not a shipper, but still want to see what it is!).   I have an idea about what we're reminded about with Molly, partly because there isn't an awful lot we know about Molly, so not much to choose from.  Really looking forward to Sian as she has been outstanding so far.

Regarding this persons comments on Johnlock, I can live with this.

But who the hell is this "new person"?!?!?!?!?

Re: BFI screening 12 January (may contain TFP spoilers)

I suspect a child.   I would have said Eurus, but she's not new, and will be more than "mentioned".  It's a curious use of "mentioned" in the post, which suggests the character is talked about rather than seen, but it's enough to make Sherlock cry ... hence thinking a child. Unless I'm interpreting the meaning wrongly.

Nakahara, could you please delete the link? I think we all want to respect their wish not to he recorded.

I would like to Schmiezi, but I didn´t post any?

Maybe it´s included in the link Shani originally posted and I responded to?

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

I don't think any of the links go directly to the video.  I had to look around for it.

Re: BFI screening 12 January (may contain TFP spoilers)

Oh right. Shani posted it, nakahara quoted the post, I never searched for the vid so it might be okay not to delete anything. :-p Sorry for the confusion.

Re: BFI screening 12 January (may contain TFP spoilers)

Honest question for UK friends.
Is The Independent in any way a reliable news source?  Or are they in the same circle as the Daily Mail?

It is usually superior to the Daily Mail.
