OMG

Sounds like a huge spoiler for the next eps so I'll just put in in tags. Just in case. Even tho I don't really believe PBS would reliease such a spoiler! Or maybe they just don't know what they are doing O.o
Martin Freeman on TST:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRn6x1TTxwE
Did he seriously say "pretend" to die and "pretend" to be grieving?
Didn't sound like he was talking about them acting. Sounds more like they were acting being pretending.

Okay, I don't think this is meant to be a spoiler it's

that he says "pretending" in the sense of "acting", doesn't he? Like "we pretend to be dying and grieving but we act."

That's how I understood it, anyway.

Just a few more hours left, I feel like a kid on the day before Christmas (though I fully expect I will end up crying my eyes out, not something I remember from my Christmases)

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

That's how I understand it too, Mrs House.

(It reminds me of Ian McKellan on Extras, talking about acting - something like "How do I act so well? What I do is I pretend to be the person I'm portraying in the film or play".

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I'm still on the 'can nothing actually be real in this show' thing?
I also want to give the actors some credit:  Martin perfectly acted a genuinely brokenhearted man.
I wonder if they sometimes think: why do I bother?!

TPTB can't bait fans with clues all the time and simultaneously be annoyed at speculations.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

My guess is that the little girl with pigtails from setlock is Eurus.  Seems to make sense, especially with Mycroft and Sherlock there.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

As we head into The Final Problem I was thinking of things from setlock and the trailers that we have not seen yet.

*John and Mary having dinner at the India restaurant. setlock
*John in his chair in 221b telling someone "enlighten me." trailer
*Sherlock's 28 pages of dialogue.
*little girl in pigtails dancing around Sherlock. setlock

Thoughts?  Additions?

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I'm pretty sure that the little girl was going to be in the last episode.  My guess is that she's Eurus.

The restaurant scene could just have been cut, I suppose.  I can't remember what episodes the others were in!

I just thought everybody presumed this was Sherrinford, in the dream sequence.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

They mentioned Martin having a scene he ask to do in private.
Do we think this was his speech to "Mary" in TLD?

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

also still missing:

*the helicopter on the beach and it's passenger
*the burning house
*Sherlock on the desk
*Mycroft's "Is this supposed to be a game?"
*crying Molly
*John taking the gun
*John in the well
*Sherlock, John and Mycroft in the room
*"I love you"

and that is just from the trailers(not including the one that is actually for TFP)

So much happened here when I wasn't looking! Always happens.

I like these theories on using Canadian locales and I am down for all of it! Niagara Falls has the potential for interesting action sequences. While Toronto (where he took the photo of the CN Tower, formerly the tallest building in the world) is often used as a stand-in for other cities, it could also be playing itself. Either way, my family and I would recognize it.
An appearance by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would be fun if it happened. It would not be the first time I saw a Prime Minister on a TV show, though those times were on Canadian shows, like Murdoch Mysteries (my other favourite detective). I for one am VERY curious what they will do.

Just wondering, did we see any footage from Canada used in the new episodes? I watched the entire series 4 over the weekend but none of the scenes looked "Canadian" to me.

I've been pondering that too.

It only fuels my hopes for a series 5 or a standalone...

Oh I wouldn't take it that far, I'd just forgotten all about the Canada thing.
