I was sort of expecting it... but as I said I would have preferred to experience it myself.
I don't mind some spoilers but I'm weird and I don't like plot and character spoilers.

That's not weird! My son absolutely avoids spoilers, where as I generally don't mind too much - I would prefer not to know surprise twists, but otherwise it's fine. He doesn't want to know anything at all, and likes to see it fresh. I think we're all different in how we experience it.
I'm sorry about the Doctor Who one, though. That really was a major spoiler, if it's the one I'm thinking of.

It's perfectly all right, Phantom. I for one hate to be surprised by character death. I need some time to deal with it so I hope that if one of the Sherlock characters dies, I will know in advance.

Oh, I just read something on Tumblr that I'm not sure if is that spoiler you guys are talking about or not. I could put it in a spoiler tag and ask one of you guys if it is - but if it isn't, I have just given you guys another spoiler.
These are trying times.

You could put it in spoiler tags, and I'll have a look and let you know if it's the same one or not! Or pm me, if you'd rather.

Ok, I will put it in spoiler tags:
I read, seemed to be a snippit from an article, that we will see the Watson relationship "starting to crumble" after they had the baby.

Yes, that's the same one! (From the Amanda Abbington Telegraph interview).

Ah, thanks for clearing that up!
My reaction to that spoiler was
a huge grin that only became wider and wider as the thought sunk in, and now I am even more eager to watch the series!
And then my second thought was: Life imitate art or art imitating life.

I agree with all your points, Lautrela.

Like a lot of you have said, I try to avoid major spoilers but don't mind stuff like what was in the Telegraph article.
However, I had a mild breakdown the other day and in desperation I GOOGLE "John Watson's secret" ! ! !
Nothing came up which is for the best but I can't believe I did that!

The waiting will do that to any of us, dear. *gives another shock blanket*
Have you guys seen these quotes? No particular spoilers, just more interesting statements from Martin and Moftiss:
So... the "elephant in the room" will be addressed. Will be very interesting to see what they mean by that.

Epic tattoo idea; and those links did make me smile!

While it may well be that the Watsons' marriage will end up failing--I'm not ruling that possibility out--I still believe that Mary and the baby will die in the end. That's what happened to canon Mary, after all, and it's not canon that Dr. Watson should raise a child as a single father while solving crimes with Holmes; therefore, I don't believe that modern-day John will, either. That he will end up losing his whole family through death is my prediction.

Just saw some new pics from TST on tumblr. From the christening. Can't link to them from work but if anyone else would like to.

Only found this one:

They are from this video:

Haha, you were quicker than me, I was just about to post it now.

about the spoiler
those quotes are very intriguing, I have a thousand theories firing in my head. While I would like that solution in the series, as it would probably be the least traumatic solution to John's "bereavement" (that is, by the way, all the cannon ever says about the matter, the true fate of Mrs. Watson is never revealed), I could not find it in my heart to be happy about it, given the real-life mirror of it.

Also, from what I saw on tumblr, according to Russian sites:
*Edit : Seems to be a fake information, my bad !Colin Morgan plays Sherrinford Holmes.
Looks like a fake. The original tweet they are showing does basically look legit but the BBC One logo is different (all christmassy) these days.
