It's a lovely place and the staff are great.
I was a real poseur this time: I sat with my Sherlock pen and notebook and planned writing projects!

A meet up there would be fab...a few of us went after the Sherlock conference, a couple of years back.

I can't make Sherlock's birthday...meet ups have to coincide with both Scottish school hols and when I'm in London anyway...I couldn't really justify going just for that!

Okay, just got in from the cinema...
My friend disowned me as I squeed loudly throughout the entire Dr Strange trailer...it looks fab!

Oooh! That's awesome! My friend and I have done that before, lol! And hey it's okay to squee during the trailers!!

You were planning on going to a party?
I'm not going to any Halloween parties, per se, but I am going to a Murder Mystery party, so I still get to be a character.
Last night we did spooky writing in one school club meeting and then costumed swing dancing at another (I dressed as David Bowie from his 1974 tour since it was something I could do mostlt with clothes I already had - though one person asked if I was a firefighter)
So I guess if you count both that and the murder mystery, I have two Halloween costume nights.

I always wanted to try that murder mystery thing! I hope you have fun!
My best friend hosts Halloween parties every year and it's so much fun. A lot of her friends are LARP'ers so they go all out with costumes and makeup.
But this year my friend is still in the hospital so yeah. I get to stay I'm with some snacks and a few films!
I'm not really a party person per se... but the parties she has are different. its always intellectually interesting people... no dancing and all that...

That's thr kind of party I lije, too, more like just a get together but maybe with a bigger group of people.
Even if you don't get to do that this time, I hope you enjoy your night.

I just this minute turned 40... Well, it's midnight on my birthday, I'm not sure of the exact time I was born

Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day!
Something happened yesterday that sort of made me a little sad... I scared two little girls!
I've always been good with kids... they naturally like me for some reason. Including the kids in my area who sometimes makes going outside a bit difficult because they always yell after me... but it's also sweet. And it came in handy when I was a secretary and research assistant at the hospital... sometimes having to take blood pressure and make condition tests with them...
After seeing Doctor Strange I went to the toilets at the cinema and since it was empty I put my coat on in there, and took off my rose choker. This little girl entered with her mother and she stopped dead in her tracks staring at me like I was a monster. The same happened on the train with another little girl.
I have gone back to my "punk self" and wore a lot of black... my hair has also been dyed black... I had been careful with the black makeup and actually wore less than what some 'normal' girls wear. I don't even think either of the girls could see my scars or tattoos... oh, and to 'soften' the black look I wore rainbow coloured clip-in extensions in my hair.
Then again... buying a coffee on Thursday I also wore something similar, including my long black jacket (of course with the collar up) and the employees there were dressed in Halloween costumes, the guy poked the girl in the Dracula costume and said "Ha, look. You're not the only vampire!"
I didn't think I was that pale...

That's too bad. I had not read about that.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that

I'm so impatient right now... lol.
I ordered groceries online, and they should be delivered within the next 3 hours.
I like that you can do this though... not having a car, and having my stupid sick spine and hip I struggle to carry groceries home and there's a limit to what I can buy. It drives me mad to have to think about weight of stuff when I shop.
But yeah... I'm not good at waiting (and yet, I'm a Sherlockian...)

Remember, remember, the 5th of November The Gunpowder Treason and plot; I see of no reason why Gunpowder Treason Should ever be forgot.
Happy(?) Guy Fawkes Day everyone
