I don't think his singing was that great, to be honest. (Which is why I reckoned they chose a song where he can get away with talk-singing, and why he is acting the lines more than singing them).
However, I don't mind that at all. He does a decent job with the singing and an amazing job with being on stage like that! Awesome performance all over.

Oh God this kept me awake for most of Wednesday night! I was just about to turn off my computer and go to bed when suddenly my timeline on twitter exploded with exciting messages and pictures. Couldn't believe I missed another fabulous guest appearance on a David Gilmour show at the Royal Albert Hall. Guess this is the place where all the magic happens, ten years ago David Bowie sang exactly the same song (plus Arnold Layne) and now Benedict. And I was actually there two days before Benedict's guest appearance, wondering if he might go to see David Gilmour while he is in London. But of course I never expected him to go on stage and sing... is there anything he can't do?
