I am not going and wish all who are lots of fun. But one thing keeps me wondering: Are they really going to do this both without Benedict and Martin? Only eight days to go and no announcement yet. Benedict is not filming at the moment and living near. And very selfishly I would like to see him again in public.

Nothing can kill the hope I have that Benedict will be announced on the list of guests on the very day before the convention starts.
He did show up at SDCC when he was not supposed to be there and flew back to London after the Sherlock panel was over.
As for Martin...I don't know. I'm hoping he'll be there as well but...I don't know.
I know, 8 days!!! I'm having a very hard time waiting...!!

This is one of the frustrating things about trying to go to the convention in LA next May. My main reason for going would be to see Ben but there's no way of knowing if he'll be there. But the longer I wait to buy tickets the greater the chance that the ones that would guarantee me access to the guests might be sold out. *pout*
Plus, if I buy the expensive tickets and then Ben doesn't come it's not like you can get your money back. Not that I wouldn't still go to the convention, but I would be heartbroken.

Yes, I understand you well. Tbh, I think it is quite unfair towards the fans. One week to go and both leading actors not confirmed. People have to save money, get tickets, apply for holidays, buy plane or train tickets …

I would die if Ben and Martin both were there! But as was said earlier I really don't think Martin's up for these sorts of things. He's only done Comic Con for the Hobbit movies.
Still I will keep hope alive.
One good thing is that I was already planning a trip to LA next May to visit my best friend so that will happen regardless. And if I get tickets to the convention I will make the most of it no matter which guests are there. The only ones that have been officially announced for the US con are Steve and Sue.
