There's only one Sherlock...

Since I could not find a better place for this - here is a very interesting post about how the show is playing with our minds, this time with regard to the Miss Me video:

This really is an interesting point.
I have always really easily been able to dismiss the first image...
But I have honestly never understood the last one.
The only thing is: it is AFTER the credits...so does this exclude it from being only in Sherlock's mind?!

I do not think so. Because in TAB we see this image as well and TAB takes place in Sherlock's mind. After HLV we never see the actual video, just the image of "real" Moriarty.

My head's exploding...
But yeah, it's the REAL image I found difficult to place...

Good point. It makes sense that it's in Sherlock's head. What's odd is that people (people who are sure Moriarty is dead) even assume that it's actually Moriarty rather than somebody else broadcasting a recording. And they could do that even with the last video, so if that's what Sherlock's imagining, what makes him think that it's live and not previously recorded? Or is that part of the point - are we going to find out why he gives it such serious consideration?

Possibly he doesn't believe it all, but is glad that other people do!
That way he's been brought back to deal with whatever it is that' he is going to do next'.

Good point. Although he does seem to be taking it seriously in TAB. I don't know. Maybe TAB has helped him work out who's behind the broadcast (Mycroft? Mary? Somebody else? A network or conspiracy?).

Yes to all of the above...
But I knew there was something else I was going to say:
It's the wording!
'Did you miss me?' is entirely different to 'Miss me.'
The latter could be an instruction.

Indeed. And it is his true manner of speaking.

Quite so.
Which could mean, he is dead and we are to miss him
