Very good point about "bromance" in Sherlock.
I applaud, especially for this part:
:But why the hell would friends look so sad? Why do they look so unhappy, so unsatisfied? Why is there this tension between them? Why are there so many things desperately unspoken between them? “The stuff that you wanted to say, but didn’t say it… say it now.” - “No. Sorry, I can’t.” / “John, there’s something I should say, I meant to say but I never have(…)” Yes, Season 3 was the peak of John’s and Sherlock’s friendship. The best thing in a friendship is to recognize the other one as your best friend. But there are so many things left unsaid and they are obviously struggling with it. This doesn’t make sense unless it’s more than friendship. It’s not a bromance. It’s romance. And this tension needs to be resolved in Season 4.

I had posted this in the debate but I think it belongs here too.
I honestly dislike the word "bromance" and I disliked it before I discovered Sherlock.
The word bromance was invented as a joke to be used when two male friends acted in any way too intimate with each other. Not intimate as in sex but as in closer than society feels male friends should act toward each other. Female friends are allowed to hug and cuddle and walk arm in arm. There is a level of intimacy that society denies men.
In my observations, "bromance" is just another way to say "no homo"

Very true. I do not like the word either. It has been coined for people who are feeling awkward about male closeness and same-sex relationships. I recommend Jude Law's comment about the B-word.
Something nice:

Just saw this post of yours in the debate thread Nakahara.
Interesting musings. I think both you, tonnaree and Vhanja, have a point.... so maybe Sherlock is a switch? Or a category of his own?
What I really wanted to say after this was "Maybe Sherlock is Watsonsexual." but I decided to behave myself.
