Well technically you can get medicine that stops contractions... but those are only intended for premature births...

And as Amanda, said she's had the longest gestation ever, so no chance of prematurity! Also the chances of Sherlock having just the right drugs on him ... actually, I wouldn't put that past him.

Well, Amanda has not been seen filming a lot lately. So either Mary will truely be gone soon or they are making a big secret of the fact that she will remain part of the show until S5 at last.

Personally, I hope the first unless she becomes the super villain I would love her to be. ;-)

It's generally not common to do that... though I imagine it would be easier for the actors to follow...
