Neither have I, nor have I seen any evidence of John being a homosexual, in canon or on the BBC series.  Every piece of evidence on the show that John is in love is always in regards to a girl, and I really believe that if Sherlock were to ever fall in love, it would also be with a girl.  But as he originally told John on "A Study in Pink", he's married to his work, so no, he does not do romantic relationships.

Seeing as it appears that Redbeard was a dog, that woman is hardly likely to go by that name! =)

I think Redbeard is both a dog and a trauma.
Sherlock says girlfriends are not his area because John asks him about girlfriends.
He also says he doesn't have a boyfriend.
What evidence is there for John's bisexuality?

Wow, never thought of that.
Though of course John limps, when Sherlock first meets him!

EDIT: just watched the youtube footage of the Redbeard scene...I think he just lollops, like a dog!

Yes, quite interesting read. But there has not been any outrage so far, right? No insults to fans. Hope it stays that way. 

Hopefully it won't give away too much anyway - any more than could have been seen/overheard during filming.

About John being bisexual, actually, John is the only main character who is definitely not shown as bi.   John is the one who denies it.  The others, we just don't really know about for sure.  They could all be bi apart from John!

I think he knows Sherlock doesn't mean it that way.  Their relationship sometimes reminds me of that stage in friendships growing up where one person discovers boyfriends/girlfriends, and the other just can't see the attraction and wants them to carry on as they are.

When has John ever denied being bi?

He said that he wasn't gay, which can include bi.  In this case, it clearly does because the sentence wouldn't make sense otherwise.  When Mrs Hudson looks surprised that he's marrying a woman, he says "Of course it's a woman", and when she suggests that Sherlock was his boyfriend, he says that he's not gay.   None of that makes sense if he isn't also denying being bi.  

Do people really hear it as saying that he's bi rather than straight?   Think about it - why would being bi be a reason his spouse has to be a woman, not a man? 

And I think he's the only main character who denies it, so funnily enough the one least likely to be bi.  Whereas anybody else (Mrs Hudson, Mycroft, Molly, etc.) could be. 

The flat is often empty(and for sale) during series.
But there have been residents there during filming and they allow access to the door and hallway
