Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

And did you see Rupert's tweet about Louis Moffat having been on set on Friday? Could have been a visit - or another young Sherlock flashback.

Saw it!  Hoping for a flashback myself!

A John Watson flashback would be great, too!

Maybe we could find out more about why he joined the army and how he met James Sholto?

I'd love to see more of Sherlock as a kid... but yeah, I would like any flashbacks... I like digging deeper into these characters

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Big news - Toby Jones confirmed as Culverton Smith, i.e. episode 2 will give us The Dying Detective:

So I know what I am going to read in bed tonight.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

So our deductions were correct! Superb!

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Yes. And knowing Moftiss they will of course not tell the same story as in Canon. For example John might think Sherlock was faking an illness/poisoning for a case but in truth he is not.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

They are going to kill us with feelings.

And you know what is brilliant? From the first pic of the infectious garbabe bag (or whatever this is called) people deduced where this might be going. Same as with TAB and the notorious four minutes in the air amounting to 90 minutes of mind palace. I am always baffled about these clever people on tumblr. Now I am waiting for the first 3Garridebs hints for episode 3.

This is BIG news!   So excited to have it confirmed and once again impressed with the fandom's detective skills.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Well that couldn't be his normal appearance. But God forbid if he's really ill. I'm outing myself again as an non-canon-reader, so I don't know what could happen.

I'm a bit disappointed that we still haven't received the three keywords yet.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

@Ivy: If I am not mistaken, last time they came after filming was complete.

In the story Holmes feigns a deadly illness to catch a criminal and Watson does not know he is faking this. So they might - just an idea - turn this around and have John believe it is a faked illness while in truth it is not. Would make a nice bit of drama. Plus the fact that Watson is hiding behind Holmes's bed during the confrontation with villain.
