I know quite a few people on the forum are fans of the wonderful Tim Minchin, so thought I would share a couple of interviews/podcasts I've listened to recently.
Tim Minchin in concert and conversation for the Sonic Sessions (The Live Set - Program highlights podcast can also be found in iTunes or whatever) Hopefully not geo blocked to Australia!
Enough Rope – an Aussie TV interview show (this one is also available as a podcast)
And some of my favourite songs (I could list dozens)
Some of his stand up humour
Plus a brilliant animated beat poem
Enjoy and feel free to add your own favourites!

A couple of oldies but goodies ...
And this one is just a lovely song (I think I prefer the acoustic version - feels very personal). He's such a brilliant song-writer. I love that a "straight" song like this has such humour ("the overuse of metaphor ..."), and that his funny songs can be moving too ("Not Perfect", for instance).
I agree, Ukaunz, there are just so many favourites to choose from!

I discovered him by accident when I watched "Never mind the buzzcocks" and he was the host. I like him because he's a bit weird and also looks like that. I didn't even know he's a musician, I just thought of him as a comedian.

He's fab...and they've had some good hosts!

indeed, like our Martin, John Barrowman or David Tennant.

Exactly, with Tim, they are almost the 4 apostles!

I used to love Simon Amstell on Buzzcocks! Another funny guy.
Yes, Ivy, I like his look although I'm aware that it's "ironic" and he's poking fun at the rock star image (and himself!). He's an actor as well as a comedian and musician, and he wrote the prize-winning musical Matilda, toured as Judas Iscariot in the Jesus Christ Superstar arena tour, etc. There's no end to his talents!

Actually yes and apparently his stand up show is very good.
EDIT: sorry, I suppose that comment applies to both of them!

I haven't listened to Tim Minchin in ages, but I have always adored Storm! Here's another brilliant little song no one seems to have linked yet... The music major in me knows how difficult this is and is torn equally between cringing and cackling... What a guy.

I have to admit I had never heard of him before "Shakespeare Live". But his version of "To be oooooor not to be..." was truly hilarious!

Well as I've previously said, I think I was quite late in discovering him.
Think it was my daughter showing me the various Youtube videos.
He is very talented, very funny and seems a good guy.

Tim's Groundhog Day won Best New Musical at the Olivier awards (and star Andy Karl won Best Actor in a Musical).
There's a couple of the songs here: Can't get If I Had My Time Again out of my head!

I really like "Not Perfect" by Tim Minchin. I used to write lyrics to his songs in my biology jotter back when I was in school and we were supposed to be working because I couldn't stand the silence. #Rebel
