Of course, I was thinking he could be a nice and more steady replacement for the poor doggie

I keep wondering why he wears a huge coat on top of his regular jacket - in late April. Is he THAT cold? I've seen him do it before on Setlock.

Wow, that must be a sign from heaven! You are mystically connected to Setlock....

Lol, I'm placing him next to the mini Sherlock and the hedgehog I have on display... a nice little family!
I literally laughed after all the dog stuff today!

Vhanja, it was certainly freezing in Scotland today.
Borough is quite a draughty spot and I imagine there was a lot of standing around...particularly with immovable dog!

It has been an exceptionally cold April, well here... but I bet it wasn't much better in England. Loo posted about snow in april too (think it was more than a Prince thing)

Yeah, it's true. Standing around and waiting outside will make you cold quite quickly.

We were out in the snow in the playground with the school kids today.

I find it a bit puzzling, too. I've seen actors in other shows do it as well.
Maybe it is easy to get cold even if you are already properly dressed when you are just standing/sitting around waiting? Actors do a lot of waiting around.

Maybe they are also protecting the clothes? so they don't get coffee spills etc... ?

I guess Ben doesn't need it, the Belstaff must be pretty warm.
And awesome hound, Phantom! Great collection you have now. :D

Speaking as one who has to do dinner line duty in the playground:
that's just it.
You get warmed up, moving around.
But if you just have to stand in one spot, it's awful.

I know Denmark isn't England... (sorry Hamlet). but here it was winter today. I wore my thick leggins while walking to my treatment today... and when I arrived I was shivering. My legs were frozen!

I point blank refused to go out into the playground at lunchtime...20 mins at break time was quite enough for all of us!

He's wearing a coat? Sorry, blinded by that smile. *thud*

Someone saw the pic of Sherlock holding the dog's leash and was reminded of another photo

And similar dog.
Ok, I've been awake since 4(not unusual for me), brain working overtime(also usual, for me!).
For me, Setlock brings us to the status of semi-hiatus and I want to take stock.
From the outset, I want to say that at this juncture there is no way of knowing if what we have seen so far is flashback, mind palace, a dream or anything else, nor for what purpose.
But even if it was, surely it would at least show what Sherlock would hope to happen?
But anyhow, I am going to(for now) take what we've seen as real. Mainly because for me it seems to follow the set up we've had for action-girl Mary, wanting to join the boys on their adventures. And really, why should I not want that? I'm a feminist and want strong female leads.
So, a few points from me:
1. I am so glad for a start, we have(hopefully)finally put an end to that(for me) pointless long discussion on whether Mary was really pregnant. Short of Sherlock and John both being stupid/blind- I never doubted. I know I got into a lot of trouble at the time(so wont repeat what I said), but so far I feel totally vindicated in my comments then.
2. I am also happy, as it seems to me that I was right in believing the beautiful Xmas reconciliation scene and also Sherlock's forgiveness of Mary.
3.I don't know what story line yesterday's shoot relates to. But I do think(as someone suggested) Mary could be shot on the job. I also take on board what somebody else said, that we could also be set up with a beautiful domestic scene, for then Mary to be taken out. I am wondering if the fact John has baby, means that said baby will be safe? Oh I also wanted to comment on someone noting they seem to be searching all over London, could this refer to Moriarty appearing on screens everywhere?
But anyhow, my real number 3 point was this: again I feel justified in seeing that the team constantly nod to the canon. Both with the specific use of the dog, but I will also refer the reader once again to the quote I posted on the Mary thread, showing Sherlock's admiration of Mary: ' I think she is one of the most charming young ladies I ever met, and might have been most useful in such work as we have been doing. She had a decided genius that way.'
