Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Is there something scary in this picture?

-----------------------------------

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Well, I don't know how good AWJ is as director....

Well, Ben looked good in 2011 too!

And oh dear... Arwel is amazing at his job... but I don't know about directing?

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Sorry for posting an old photo without being able to find any verification that it was new. It did look a bit inconsistent with the photo with the film students, but it was hard to tell.

Clueing for looks.

No worry. We are all just very, very desperate for having photos and the backs of the heads are not really telling.

I hated it from the beginning, all those old #setlock pics all the time.

Well, second unit usually handles small shots, so it's a great place to start.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

If Arwel's artistic brilliance as a set designer is any indication then I think he should be given a chance at directing.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

221 in Roman numerals. :D

That ring Mycroft is wearing... does anyone know if that is Mark's personal ring? Or something they added to Mycroft?

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

It's a wedding band, from the looks of it... I doubt Mycroft would have found himself a... erm... Goldfish.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Mycroft wore the ring from S1 onwards. Maybe that was something they added, because they felt being married fitted his role. Maybe they didn't know themselves at that time where he would be going.
But isn't his real life wedding band a bit broader? I'm not sure though.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

Mycroft is English.
It's the wrong hand to be a wedding band.
I actually thought Mycroft wore 2 rings...
Or at least I think Mark does: one his wedding band on the Left hand and the other I am assuming is a signet ring.
I know sometimes people switch hand if they get divorced, etc.
Mark has stated he considers Mycroft to be gay. Though of course he could still be married. I doubt it, though.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

I don't think being married fits Mycroft's style very much, though ring-wearing works fine.  But yes, if it were a wedding ring it would be on his left hand.

I must saying I'm finding these photos fun, even if we aren't getting a lot of answers.

Re: Series 4 Setlock (potential spoilers)

is that the exact same outfit that he had in TAB and the end of HLV?

I seem to remember that Mark once said that the ring is Mycroft's (a.k.a. a prop) and that it is not a wedding ring, but that it does have a meaning. But I can not for the life of me remember when he said that, so there is a small chance it might have happened in a dream of mine...
