Agreed.
Martin is breathtaking. Let us all gaze upon his loveliness.

@ ancientsgate But you see you've piqued my interest now!
Friendship fics are always absolutely fine.
In fact I have always said that for me, even any kind of slash fics are fine...as long as they are not confused with the real BBC Sherlock!
@tonnaree. Yes, we are lucky we have him to enjoy!

Lovely.
And I'm so excited that the new season of Sherlock is being filmed, I'm almost beside myself. Nice to see them so easy and relaxed like that.

Yeah though, this isn't from the current Setlock.

I would have to agree with Besley here. I have very few limits regarding Johnlock jokes, fic tags and smut, but I draw a strict line with anything that has to do with, or just hinting to, shipping actors.
Having that said - topic: Some suave Martin:

In this case the joke was just a wordplay "broship - roship - ship" (initiated by the moderator of this forum, no less) and it was clearly marked as a joke by a "toungue-in-cheek" smiley. I believe this is not reason enough to make a big drama out of it...
Still, this makes me think the best conversationalist fitted for this forum would be a robot. No negativity, emotions, no jokes, nothing really, only a robotic, completely neutral slogan-like sentences...

And I'm glad that nobody here actually suggested or supports such ...

I would say the drama comes when people start talking about "well, I will have to be a robot, then", not in just calmly stating one's opinion. I've made remarks that other found offensive without me understanding why, it happens. No reason to go all black-and-white and talk about "no jokes" etc because of it.

As a Mod and an active member and the one who made the silly joke, could we all please put this behind us now? Please.

I had put it behind me and moved on!
But just to reiterate, I agreed with Susi's analysis and she made a judgement.
