I'm actually happy he still does that! And his hair is looking a lot better!
And what a lucky guy that was!

Nicely put and absolutely true.

Do the British rail lines still have private compartments in certain cars? I think of the old Beatles movie "A Hard Day's Night" that showed them in a semi-private little room with two bench seats, a window, a door to the outside hallway, shades that could be drawn.
This is a nice photo, who took these, does anyone know? And why is he making the "loser" sign? lol

I saw a post on Tumblr suspecting that it's not the "loser" sign, but an "L" for a charity awareness thing (but I forget what it is now, but other people took photos doing it as well).

Susi posted the answer here
He's lovely supporting things like that

Oh and
1. No such thing as British Rail, now. It's all individual, private companies.
2. No, the only trains that have the kind of posh carriages described, would be like the royal train!
But if they'd asked us in our first class carriage, I'm sure we would have been happy to support the cancer charity, too...I knew nothing about it

10 years ago, my husband and I spotted American TV celeb Tom Bergeron at our local Olive Garden restaurant, lol That might be my one and only celebrity sighting close to home, and it's only because Tom comes from around here, used to live here, worked as a DJ at a radio station here about 45 years ago. Very cool to see someone famous just.... sitting there, though. And no, we didn't go over to him. He was pretending to hide behind a newspaper.

You could. If you're not too suprised.
Or you could ask for his coffee.
Or talk about strange things like bananas.
