Read a comment on Tumblr today about how Sherlock fans are now getting excited over literally watching paint dry. That had me laughing.

Yes, I believe the piece was posted on here.

Oh, sorry, haven't read the thread properly, it seems. Late to the party as usual.

Although I had assumed most of that: good news, anyway!

Good to see it in print!

Same here, but cool. Although I was only curiously 'huh' at one bit… the fact that those two are writing all the eps… no chance for a third writer to work on it with? But then, the only other person who ever did was the unfortunately seldom-lauded Steve Thompson, who I suppose has left.
But yay…. hi again, Arwel! (or rather, the infamous smiley!)
Hmm… the debate continues from remembering which shade green? Or just getting to watch paint dry?

I am going to resist getting excited by the decorating in process!

I can't resist!

Me neither. And TBH I don't see why I should. ;-)

Resistance is futile.
(someone had to say it. )

Do you think Benedict will wear a wig for S4? From his recent photos, it doesn´t seem as if he had his hair long enough for the fluffy curls....

I would hope not, but think it is a real possibility.
At least they do have a very good wig. If I had not known it wasn't his real hair in TAB I would not have guessed.

I think his hair is fine and it has not been cut significantly since Hamlet. At Letters Live he had a lot of product in it. And Claire recently tweeted that she was off to twist and diffuse again. So I think there will be no wig.

*fingers crossed*

I have some little reservations of a different kind: Have you looked at his body lately? He is a bit on the heavy muscular side for Sherlock, if you ask me. Sure, he got more and more muscular from series to series but at the moment - do not get me wrong, he looks great - but it is not really Sherlock, is it?

I had not noticed but now I must do some intensive research.
FOR SCIENCE!

Of course. Is there any other reason than science for looking at his body?
Ahem, sorry, back to topic. Wig or no wig, that is the question.

We might know, soon!

I suppose actors end up having to bulk for so many parts, that we might have lost the skinnier Sherlock. I do find it a bit silly that actors have to conform to that particular look - it seems like any shirtless scene needs hours in the gym and bulking and cutting or whatever it is they have to do, even if it wouldn't be necessary, story-wise, for the character to be muscular. (I think Sherlock needs to be strong, lithe and agile, but not necessarily muscular). It drives me nuts to see body-builder type bodies popping up in period dramas, etc. (Aidan Turner in Poldark, I'm looking at you!).
I would be happy with natural hair rather than a wig, even if it isn't quite long enough. It depends on how it's styled.
