Re: Fan art

I love it.

For those that aren't aware, it's a parody of "I Want My Hat Back" by Jon Klassen

So that´s what inspired it! I was wondering about that.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Fan art

The post says it's from a year ago, but have you guys seen these? I love them! (Just posting a link because there's a bunch of them.  I like that Irene Adler is riding side-saddle, it fits.

Re: Fan art

They are fab.
But I think side saddle would have only been appropriate for Victorian Adler...she's not the Queen!
Really, was there any more stupid invention than side saddle?!

But you wouldn't want to sit astride in that iconic white outfit that Irene wears in the picture... maybe in her battle dress she would be able to do it

Very true. I'm not sure how much you can spread your legs in a skirt like that, plus you'd expose everything! She might be a dominatrix but I still think she's classier than that in public.
Also, I don't know if this was at all intended, but in Some Like it Hot there's a joke about riding sidesaddle and it's implied in Scandal in Belgravia that Irene isn't straight so that made me chuckle a bit...

Re: Fan art

Awwwww….   so sweet.   (and cutely appropriate)
Hm….  Would this be considered fan art?  Someone's little scribble, but very nicely styled out… like a graphic artist would do a piece with words.  Made me cringe and smile appreciatively at the same time, for the poem mash-up, and stylization...

I'm working my way up the greasy pole.  It's… very greasy.  And…  pole-shaped.
