Cat wants to eat its owner for no reason. Hmmm...

Ha. Maybe the owner has some sort of oil on their skin or used some kind of soap with a smell that's attractive to the cat? I remember sometimes my cat would lightly bite my dad after he'd shower because the soap he used was minty.

Haha, that reminds me of one of mums cats... he chews or runs his teeth on you as his way to say hello.

My cat only once bit my Mum like that and it was when Mum was on the phone to my sister...we think the cat was confused about hearing my sister's voice but not being able to see her!

I know what you mean. One of my cats always tries to nibble at my nose as a sign of affection. Can be very hurtful though when he hit the inside of my nose with his sharp little teeth. Our other cat likes nibbling at my fingers. Funny little creatures

But we adore them, don't we?

They are the only gods I recognise!

I just calculated the fall velocity (?) of Sherlock's fall from Barts hospital with a friend. We wanted to practice the calculation.
I realised I'm really bad at physics. Don't even know if we got it right.
Help me? I assumed a height of 20meters - probably wrong...
Also I feel a bit disturbed now
It was just, as always, that Sherlock was the first example that came to mind...

That reminds me of my grade 11 physics project I did with my friend. We wanted to prove if dropping a penny from the CN Tower (the tallest building in Canada) could kill someone. We had to factor in terminal velocity since it's such a high height, but I don't know if 20m is enough to reach the fastest possible for a fall. I didn't do the calculations part, and all I remember about calculating that stuff is acceleration of gravity.

There's probably a better forum for this topic, like for hypochondriacs or something, but anyway...
Sometimes I worry I'm going senile. Yesterday I went to tell the kids that there were donuts in the kitchen if they wanted one, and couldn't think of the word "donuts". The only word that popped into my head was "mushrooms", which the kids most definitely do not want to eat! The other day I went to say the word "bath" but instead I said "fridge". You know, that big white thing.
I have trouble with short term and long term memories. There's a lot of stuff from my own life I can't remember. Any of my teachers' names in high school, for example. And yet today, a name that I've been trying to remember for the last few days finally appeared in my memory. He was an old friend from my Uni days (about 20 years ago) who I haven't seen or thought about since.
Anyway, what do you reckon, should I see a doctor about this, or is it normal? I'm 39.

If in doubt, always see a doctor- if only to put your mind at rest.

Yes, rather ask your doctor one time too many.
Are you under stress though? these are also symptoms of stress, be it emotional or work related...

Yes, I think you should say something to your doctor about it, at least you'll have an answer instead of wondering about it.
I think it happens once in a while that people forget words for things, but if you're noticing it happen more then you maybe should see what could be causing it, whether it's just stress or something else...or nothing.

I'm pretty bad at going to see a doctor for obvious symptoms, so I'm even more reluctant for something like this
I wouldn't say that I'm stressed. But I have heard depression can affect memory. Not that I'm seriously depressed either, I'm just generally an unhappy, negative-thinking person (with low self esteem).

It could be a relief to hear your doctor say it's nothing. However, it's probably challenging to be a mom of younger kids, so perhaps it's just the "normal disaster"?

Allegedly spotted in the Hyde Park. Funny:

Aw, normally I don't condone vandalism, but that's a bit cute!
