Just arrived Melbourne airport, stuck in customs queue before we can continue our journey home. Kids got to visit pilots on the flight deck, wish I could have asked if they've listened to Cabin Pressure

Smaug truly was Magnificent. His eye was really cleverly done - it actually glowed and moved. Apparently smoke used to come out of his nostrils too.

Fantastic! I would have squealed if that was me! And yes, I would absolutely have needed to pet him!
I might also have petted the poster of Sherlock and John at the cinema... *cough* my excuse is that one of my pain meds have a bit of an opiate effect and I can sometime doubt if I'm actually experiencing stuff... So... touch is very, very important.
I love how serious NZ is taking LOTR and The Hobbit though, my friends and I all dream of visiting sometime; a pilgrimage!

Oh, they take it very seriously in NZ; Peter Jackson has done so much for NZ tourism! They are very proud of it all, as well they should be. It's such a beautiful country that produces great talents.
