Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Cleverer and cleverer, I should think.

And more and more observant, as well.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

I want to know why eveyone isn't making jokes about Sherlocks impulses for Johns revolver and to be attacked by ghosts. Oh wait , the ghost did get laid in the end !

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Revolvers...Freudians must have fun analysing this one though.
And, honestly, no one seems to mention Holmes and Moriarty's confrontation at 221b. Apologies, I'm going to be ... crude, but...you look at the size of their revolvers...

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Hey they wrote it....

So I think I remember one of the writers giving an interview and saying he has this idea for the special and if they were going to do it they had to do it now ?
Could that be because after S04 the subtexty stuff is no longer needed ?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

I very much hope so. Some people will hate it but there is no way back to cold machine-like Sherlock from series 1. (I mean, he never was, but many perceived him to be like that). And if you ask me, there is only one way to go with the character. Further explore his depths and emotions and finally getting together with John.

Yes .Now he has found it what will he do with it.
Pardon the pun but why would they load the gun and then not fire it so to speak.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Have they really said that?
How did I not know that?

I really, really don't want to be a spoilsport...
Somehow, if series 4 is indeed darker than any other, how could Johnlock come to pass at that moment?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Well, I think they could do both. The darkness does not necessarily have to refer to Johnlock not happening.

Yes. Three Garridebs, for example. Maybe this is for the series 4 speculation thread.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Oh, yes, I am so waiting for that moment to happen...

But, you're quite right...topic!
Johnlock. There are quite a number of moments in STAB, even if they played it down this time -Victorian etiquette, I presume- but it starts from the moment they meet.
Even in eyeing Watson for a fleeting moment, Holmes declares "you'll do".
(oh yes, you will).

Also...what do we think of the return of the infamous elephant in the room at the end of STAB, in regards Johnlock?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

I loved how they did their first meeting. A nice nod to the pen throw but that early … they are made for each other. Quite apart from the fact that Benedict looked wonderful in that scene. Hair slightly ruffled from the exertions with the riding crop.

The elephant has fallen, the walls are shaking, Sherlock sees the light?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Yes, but what bothers me is that it comes back...It's resting on a writing desk (huh. writing desk. John.) in the last scene.

Oh, erm...Not sure it's Johnlock anthem material, but I can't help but imagine it's Sherlock talking about John.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

The elephant in the victorian 221b has been for one hundred odd years though. It used be a white elephant was a rare odd curiosity from Twains novel I think , but in Sherlock 21st century the elephant is everywhere , art, ties, cushions and even a real live living elephant. So .

The comment that tjlc people were clever . Yez. Proof.
