Here's a new article that I enjoyed reading (it also has a couple new pictures).

"Not that The Abominable Bride, unlike earlier episodes of BBC1's triumphant series, is based on an actual Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tale. Its inspiration is a case mentioned in passing by Dr Watson in the 1893 short story, The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual – a mystery that Holmes had solved before his acquaintance with Watson"
For those who've read all the original stories, does this offer any clues?

If it is mentioned in passing, then there is likely very little more information in the original text, but perhaps a bit more than just the title. But I'll wait and see what people who have read the story it is mentioned in pipe in, since I don't remember reading that story before.

Interesting article. While the knife in the mantle has been seen in the series before, it's good to see that they are being consistent. The think about the watch chain is what I found most interesting, and it would be interesting if Sherlock had met the bride before she became "abominable."

I am so confused! It's just been made public that the special will be shown in cinemas here! But no theatres are listing it yet!

Does this help, Phantom?

Thank you Susi, I saw the announcement on the Sherlock official facebook... but the Cinemaxx cinemas have apparently told the admin of the Danish Shelockians that the rights are not yet fully negotiated.
Gah! But at least there's a hope...

Yeah, that would be fun...I'm sure we'd end up talking for hours.
