Drinking coffee and listening to my husband bustle about in the kitchen. He's the cook in the family! Gettting the turkey in the oven and making biscuits for breakfast. Mmmmmmmmm. I will help later when it's time to make the "dressing." For those who don't know dressing is like stuffing only baked in a pan and not in the bird. I will be trying to recreate my mom's dressing which I grew up on, but the woman never used a recipe!!! Still, I must give it my best try!

Happy Thanksgiving to you Americans! Have a good one!
I've never even tried a roasted turkey... it sounds good though!

I'm veggie now, but did like turkey when I did eat it.
But it's generally considered to be a bit more dry than chicken.

Thank you! (and vice versa to the rest of you over here!)
And especially a little cheer to those of us who.. dun dun… have to work.
(makes me look at all the ads about 'spending the holidays with the family' want to bap the companies making them) But at least I don't have to work tomorrow (Black Friday), and thankful to have people in town to go see beforehand. And the food!

My mom's turkey's were always moist and tender. She knew what she was doing. MMMMMMMMMM

Psyching myself up for this flamin' cycling course...I'm inappropriately dressed, it's blowing a gale outside and I hope they remember to bring me a suitable bike!

I'm groaning about all the Black Friday madness here... the country has gone crazy!
... And I'm also not too happy that I don't have any money left, I gave the last I had to the homeless here. I really don't have enough, but I have enough to get through to my next benefits come in on Monday.
The homeless shelter here wanted to make an advent calendar for the people who visit them, asking for presents... so I packed one present with some of the scarfs I've never used, candles, stock broth I won a whole case of a while ago, tea and what else I didn't need. I also bought some meal tickets and gave to the calendar as well...
So, yeah. All I now own in this world is £3. But I've got a flat, and I've got some food and I've got a nice warm coat.
I could have used a bit of cash to get my Christmas present shopping done though... but on the other hand, I would probably not enjoy getting pushed and shoved around.

I don't think Black Friday is quite so bad here...

I didn't know Black Friday had migrated to Denmark/Europe. We have it in Canada, but that's not too surprising since we border the US and so there is influence on some things. I don't know whether it gets that intense here, though. Though you do see on the news people in the US fighting in the stores. I guess it depends on where you go.

I'm finally getting to put my feet up after a successful birthday party for my son. I was running around like a mad thing getting it all done in time, and then I was too anxious to relax and chat to people during the party, but I'm glad all the kids had a good time.
Photos under the spoiler tag so as not to clutter up the thread!
The birthday cake
The Tardis treehouse (police phone box made by my husband, space background painted by me)
The card my daughter made for her brother

Your use of the spoiler box did make me laugh out loud!
But cool pix.

Thgat looks like it would have been a lot of work to put together, but it's good to hear your son had a good time. The TARDIS is pretty cool, and the space background allows it to be "bigger on the inside." Very clever. It reminds me of the kinds of ideas my mom can get for things. She's very creative.

Grrr,, trying to send an email, which should have gone yesterday.
Thankfully I just checked again today and I don't think it had gone!
What with this and texts which still seem to be 'sending'!

Ha, just heard David voicing over a TV ad!
I've just caught up on all my missed TV, from last night when I was out watching Star Wars- which reminds me...
