Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

@Val, I don't think that it was meant in a disrespectful manner towards Sophie. The common agreement is that everyone here wants Benedict to be happy. Which is a positive note.
I don't think anyone must be a fan of someone by extension, Ben and Sophie do a very different kind of work. Although I love classical music and some operas as well I must say that I'm not too interested in the kind of art Sophie does as well.
I think it must be possible to express if you don't like a movie, an outfit, something somebody has said and so forth, surely one cannot appreciate just anything a person does?
I like Martin for example but there are users here who are not interested in him apart from Sherlock. Fair enough. Does it mean I have to be Amanda's fan? No, I'm not her fan, I'm not interested in her work and don't like her attitude a bit. But I can fully appreciate that Martin is happy with her and that they have a happy family life with their two children.
And concerning the collage you posted: I like the fourth picture the best. Because Sophie smiles with an open and warm and genuine smile at Ben. Please, Sophie, do that more often, it suits you very well!

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Ok, slightly OT to begin with, but then will hopefully get more to the point!
I don't think any of us want to go poking a long lens camera through the Cumberbatches front window.
But there is nothing wrong in taking an interest in the woman Benedict has chosen to marry.
On the other hand, if you have no interest in her, that is of course fine too!
As for pictures of Sophie or Benedict and Sophie...
I always understood this thread to be pictures of Benedict, or those of him PLUS ones form the show...
But does it just mean Benedict and him as Sherlock?
So what I'm saying is, does Sophie need a separate thread, or is she ok here?
I guess she shouldn't really have her own thread as unless she appears in the show, she's not really Sherlock related.
Having said all of that: whoever we are posting pictures of and then commenting on those images....I feel we shouldn't get too personal, but then maybe that's up to interpretation.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Wow, you really need to see these images in their full glory.
Benedict is just magnificent...I've always said: he really should be a model.

Amen to that, sistah. And IMO there's *nothing* like a PC with an HD monitor, or a laptop with a good-sized screen on which to see these images.  A phone or tablet would never do (for me).

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Valid point.
I have to say after I met James Rhodes in the Summer, I was going to gush on here with the blow by blow account. But then thought: well it's not really Sherlock, is it?!
But you are right...we link Benedict with others and there never seems to have been an issue...

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Just a little mod's note: I think it is fine to post pictures of Benedict with friends and family now and then as we have always done. But this thread is mainly about Benedict and should remain so. I have no problems whatsoever of seeing him with Sophie but we should concentrate on him in this thread. If anyone wishes to open a Sophie Hunter or Benedict/Sophie picture thread, I am fine with it, provided there is no discussion of his private life which should remain private. Thank you all and now back to the beauty.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

I adore his face and how he uses his mimic! He could do silent movies!

Though... I'd really miss that amazing voice!!
