His Hamlet is everything to me!
And to those Sherlock pics... *thud, crash bang... twang...*

"twang"? Did you fall on a guitar?

That was the sound of my last ovary bursting.

To me, he looks like royalty here. To the manor born. Oh, and yeah, hot as hell, too. THUD

This was the first time I had viewed Hamlet since experiancing for myself the loss of a parent. I must say it affected me on many new levels. Benedict portrayed Hamlet's grief with great power.

Why does Hamlet have an old fashioned record player and what looks like a 78 record? lol Um, was this creative license or what?

Yes AG. In this scene Hamlet is going through old things of his father's and listening to sad music. The old fashioned record player is a nice visual.
As far as costumes and props you can see from photos that this production is a mixed bag. Ophelia goes around snapping photographs. In a couple of scenes modern handguns are used.

Here again I have to point out the eloquence of Benedict's face. In the photo we see only Ben in a suit. Something we've seen a million times. However, by just the way he holds himself and sets his features you can immeditaely tell that this is Ben in character as someone else and not just himself.

Very true, tonnaree. It's very subtle, but you can spot it anyway. It's like we can see with a glance whether it's Sherlock or Setlock-Ben.

And it's that subtlety that is his talent, he doesn't have to shout out what he's doing, so to speak...
