SV has confirmed that the special will go out in the US on the same day as the UK! Very exciting! #221back
Don't know if this concerns cinema though. I guess it does !

It is a bit unclear since "air" implies TV. But I saw a news article that it would be a "global cinema event" so I really hope that includes the cinema screening/broadcast as well. I am excited. It will be a lovely New Year present.

Yeah I'm wondering too , is it the air date on cinema or on tv ? Personaly I hope it's TV since it won't air on frenchs cinemas

I love those photos that they posted to twitter today. They are wonderful.
Also, the network that airs it in the US (and is available in Canada as well) will be airing it on the 1st and on the 10th. I will probably be watching it on both those days (although the second day it'll be on at 10 o'clock so hopefully I'll be able to stay awake, if not I'll just watch part of it)
Also, did anyone else notice that Sherlock still has a red buttonhole in this version?
