My movie magazine had this as a full-page photo opposite a one-page article about Benedict in Black Mass. I was not expecting it, and it was very striking.

He looks amazing in such darkness and light.
I know, right? Man, just how it accents… oooh… and had another similar oldie, too! Love this because the last is so Ben, and this is more like Sherlock. Ben, Sherlock. Sherlock, Ben…
@Yitzock - And it was immediately taken out to save, right?

Sherlock is gorgeous, but that lighting just glorifies everything I love about him.

Oi, I know… perfect when they use light that way, and his haughty look as Sherlock…
Aww, so cute… immediately knew who he was even though still need to see that movie!
And also… Oi Vey!!! (ahem) Been looking seriously great in that style!
Erm, warning.. not exactly a 'vatican cameos!' warning, but 'oh, my heart' type… but I can't help posting this one I've had saved for so long, loving the starkness despite that, and fits perfectly after the 'light and darkness' of Ben's pic, then Sherlock, then…. here we have Shezza….

*Shivers* oh my!

Awesome!
He looks so very different from Sherlock as Shezza, but I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is that does it. Some really good make-up and styling.

Great Sherlock and Hamlet pictures!
And yes, Russell, that magazine photo will be saved.

Personally I think it's his complexion that makes Shezza look so different to Sherlock. Sherlock's face is unusually pale and perfect, whereas Shezza's is freckled and more of a natural colour (and slightly grimy-looking ). And the stubble, too. His hair isn't really that different, although Shezza's perhaps looks a bit unwashed. Obviously the clothes make a difference too. But the question is, why does Shezza-the-druggie still look so hot??

Mmm...the danger of his lifestyle, maybe? His roughness...?
Now, have you guys seen this one?
It's from tonight's Hamlet's press night.

Oh my! He's looking sharp!
But... the curls??? Is it just product holding them down or are they gone?? (Yes, I do care about his hair...) but to be fair, the curls worked well for Hamlet

The Standard published this. *wub*
(Yikes sorry about the size)

He is SO beautiful! *sigh* Like fine wine...
(And I think it's just product in his hair in the other pic).

Yeah, there is something about his complextion, you are very right about that. It has a lot to do with it. But I also feel there is something about his eyes, or his expression... he just looks so incredibly different, in a way. Really well done.
