Re: Sherlock Anagrams

lol It means nothing, but those two I posted so far are the only things I've been able to make using all the letters, even if they make no sense.  Noises..hm...I will see what I can figure out with that.

Clueing for looks.

Re: Sherlock Anagrams

Sorry, lost sight of this thread.
And no one tried? Come on, there are some friends who only needed 20 seconds for that.

Another hint... hmm... it's about "annoying" noises.

Re: Sherlock Anagrams

A SORRY NOISE, RUS?

I guess compared to your friends we are a disappointment, lol. This is much more difficult for me.  It's probably staring me in the face by now and I haven't been able to see it yet.

Re: Sherlock Anagrams

Good job, mrshouse! I missed the clue before you solved it, but I still don't know whether I would have ever thought of that.  Looking forward to the next one!

Re: Sherlock Anagrams

Oh, you just slightly confused me, mrshouse.
The second L - just to make the anagram more difficult?
Otherwise I'd say:
"You repel me."
(Not you, mrshouse!)

Re: Sherlock Anagrams

Never mind, mrshouse!
These anagrams are tricky. The solving is child's play contrary to the making.

Too difficult? Hmm...
Ok. The first of the four words is

"WE"

and the last one has 8 letters, ending with "R".

WE HUG OVER WHEPATER

-----------------------------------

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Sherlock Anagrams

Quite good, nakahara!
Now I wonder what a whepater is.
Is it something like a barrier tape at a crime scene?
