Nods to BBC Sherlock in other productions

Today I watched "Tatort" (famous german crime series), and I spotted four things that felt like a direct nod to BBC Sherlock:

+ they showed the mobile phone texts in writing on the screen as in ASIB
+ they divided pictures in three little pictures on screen, like in TEH
+ they showed a red apple sitting on a desk (TRF) - the apple was otherwise totally unconnected to the story and didn't serve any purpose
+ a morgue scene in which they zip up the body bag, in close up

I checked the internet, and I am not the only one having made that connection, so I am rather sure it's not just coincidence. It seems our "Tatort" producers have watched quite a bit of Sherlock and found it worth using.

Have you ever noticed this in a film/series?

I am actually delighted, because it means that BBC Sherlock is influencing TV productions even here in Germany - I like it :D obviously :D

Yes, the whole Dortmund tatort.

... but there may be some new players now. It’s okay. The East Wind takes us all in the end.

I meant also other productions, other countries, not only Tatort ;-)

But yes, of course. But I think each Tatort has a different team of production, at least each regionial Tatort?

Re: Nods to BBC Sherlock in other productions

You asked for film/series ;-) And the nods to BBC Sherlock esp in the first episode were soo stunning.

Re: Nods to BBC Sherlock in other productions

That's me being tired... my english suffers. I meant films, series, anything that can be produced...
In today's Tatort it was very subtle, it felt like it could have been coincidence, but wasn't. And not necessary for the story at all.

I wouldn't know of other TV series, because I don't watch TV usually. And in films I haven't seen it yet.

Re: Nods to BBC Sherlock in other productions

The music is definitely similar!  And the thing with the board with the evidence also reminds me of Sherlock's wall with evidence.

Have you guys seen the intro to this Russian TV series Freud's Method?
The music is quite similar (shots of traffic are used as well).  Apparently it's about a psychologist and gambler who works as a speicla consultant to the police.  Even though they don't like his eccentric methods they are impressed by his ability to solve crimes (using psychology, apparently).
If you look up photos with the Russian title, you find pictures of him wearing suits without a tie like Sherlock, and a coat and scarf.

Clueing for looks.
