After one of the panels I had a lady come up to me and ask me if I would mind being interviewed for a student documentary her college film class was doing on Fandom. I was very flattered to be invited.
She ask me about how I would discribe something like 221b Con to people outside of Fandom. Other questions were about being able to transfer skills honed in fandom to the "real world" and how has fandom affected my personal relationships.

It was fun and interesting.

I"m throwing this out there now even though it's a year away. Already bought my membership for 221b con 2016.

If anyone from the forum can make it to Atlanta I'd love to get a hotel room and share the party! I know it's a long long way to travel for a lot of you but the offer stands. The hotel room rates for the con are very resonable and most rooms can sleep up to 4 people.

This year and last year I didn't stay in the hotel and just drove back and forth from home. It saved me some money but it's so nice when you can stay at the con and just stumble off to bed when you're tired instead of driving home.

Anyway, offer officially stands.

I can perfectly understand why that Mycroft was very popular! And Mary...yes, suits to the idea I have of Mary. I loved Mycroft's goldfish, and to be honest, this kind of outfit didn't really surprise me.

oh, I heard something happened on a panel (the panel where you had to bring an ID), do you know anything about that?

Really want to try and get to 221B Con some time. I had a ticket for it last year but couldn't afford the plane fare!

The nice thing is membership to the con is very resonable. Especially if you buy in advance.
It only cost me $25 to pre-register for next year.

Lilythriel, there was some drama but I don't know if I want to bring it into our forum. I was not at the panel in question but heard about it from some mutuals right after. If you really want to hear what I know message me.

If I can save up some money for the flight between now and next April then I'd definitely be interested!

This is one of my favorite cosplayers. As a matter of fact he is my #1 favorite MALE Sherlock cosplayer.
I think he pulls it off very well. And as a bonus he does have a deep sexy voice. He participated in the Porny Bedtime Stories readings and was quite popular.
