I love lace.  There is such art and artistry in it for me.  When lace fabric is done into such a beautiful dress as Sophie's it tells a delicate story so full of symbolic meaning for such a special day. 

I know it is considered "old fashioned" nowadays but I still love the lace curtains I have in my home.  They allow such light and delicate shadows into the rooms (we have lace window dressings in my sunroom, bedroom and on the French doors into my living room).
