Beautiful!! I wish I could find one like that, that ships to Denmark...
Mine is an abomination!

Today was a good sign that the day just doesn't start right unless I say good morning to the mortician...

My boyfriend was watching the Oscar red carpet interviews. Ben came on - I wasn't really watching because I was getting ready to walk the dog - and then my boyfriend looks at me with a slightly smug girn on his face, saying:
"You're a Cumberbitch".
I was taken slightly off guard, and we ended up with this conversation:
Me: That's ancient, we don't call each other that anymore.
Him: Oh? So what do you call yourself now?
Me: Some use Cumbercookies, as several of us would make a batch.
He smiles a bit at that, considering the term, before concluding:
"Nah. You're a Cumberbitch".
*snigger* Never imagined having that conversation with my boyfriend.
(That wasn't meant offensive, btw. We've been together for ten years, it's just our way of banting).

Haha, Ben wouldn't like your boyfriend!
Personally I very much prefer CumberCookie (I even made a recipe...)

OMG I suck at making plans!! My guy wanted us to chat Saturday night (which I am very, very grateful for... last weekend without him was way too lonely). Turns out that Monday when I was half asleep after having stayed up to watch the Oscars I made plans with my best friend to go see The Theory of Everything at the exact same time!
Aaaaand I've also said yes to visit my mum from Friday to Saturday.
I can't cancel on my friend, firstly she made the plans with me first (even if I wasn't really awake that still counts) and also, I try never to cancel on her because of her mental illness.
So right now my Saturday looks like this:
Rush home from the train from mum's with food, stuff the fridge, QUICK clothes change, rush to the theater, watch the film and rush home to say 'Hiiii' to my guy 3 hours late.

Haha, that sounds like a busy weekend!

I took myself being sexist today.
I was at a meeting today with some other job seekers... this skinny guy, with awesome tattoos, Band T-shirt and glasses was there... I had guessed he would be in IT, maybe even computergame development (like my best friends boyfriend does)... turns out he was a secretary!
My head, just for a second went "But that's a woman's job!!"
... I am a secretary...

Bumpbump?
It's raining and that's boring. And someone wrote "Jesus" in white letters on the main entrance way to the main station. They tried to get rid of it but didn't succeed yet. Well haha.

For me, today is the last day of school before the Easter holidays. YAY!
I will do a little one week trip with my son, correct some urgent stuff for my pupils who will have their final exams in spring and probably get some more sleep than I do at the moment.

Have a good trip, Schmiezi!
I'm soo tired... I'm sick, and even if it specifically says that you can not make holes in the walls people daily insist on drilling... which sounds so loud in my flat. I need so much sleep and my head is heavy enough as it is.
*deep breaths*

No idea where this (silly) idea should be, so I figured here would be all right...
Let's imagine a Sherlock themed pub...What would you find in there? What could you, compared to "classic" ones?

As I've mentioned once or twice on this board, I spend a lot of time training my dog and other dog activities (instructor assistent at courses, on the board of a nosework club etc).
So today I've thaught my dog the game of Three Cup Shuffle, and thought I'd share the results here. It was really fun, and my dog loved it!

What a beautiful dog you have Vhanja! And well trained too!
mine (who lives with my mum...) is way too frantic and excited... but once in a while he does respond to 'Wait for it'
Again... wow, your dog is gorgeous!

Thank you very much!
He's finding a coin that I've hidden in one of the cups (so it's not a treat. The treat comes afterwards).
And I do know what you mean, Ozu will get quite stressed when we're in surroundings with other people and dogs, something I work on constantly.

Such a beautiful animal. Clever and playful too, from the look of it.

Thanks! Yeah, he is. He can be a challenge to train, though. Not because he isn't clever, but because he is very sensitive to the environment. Not to mention a very independent dog, it's not a border collie or german shepherd who live to do your bidding. But then again, that's what makes it interesting. Not to mention a steep curve of learning for me!

I'm no use today. I just scanned the active threads and there is one called
Is Sherlock curly like Hornung's Raffles?
but instead I read "Is Sherlock horny like Curly's Raffles?"
Honestly, it's messing with my head. I'm not reading any more fanfic today!!

Haha! I misread stuff all the time! Don't feel bad!
I also have a bad hearing, I'm almost deaf on one ear and sometimes I have to guess what people said... and my brain doesn't always make sober assumptions
Offline
Sober assumptions are far in the past for me. Since I read fanfic, my brain seems stuck on dirty stuff :D
Here it's very stormy. It's been raining the whole day, and when I drove with a friend to the supermarket we had to zigzag because of big tree branches on the street which had broken from the trees. Part of me loves it and wants to go for a walk in the woods, but the rational part forbids me to go ;-) Yesterday night I watched a thunderstorm from our kitchen window with a friend, and when lightning struck like 500meters away from us, we both were startled and jumped back. The lightning was so intense the whole sky flickered blue-ish and it was so bright white in the first moment that I felt my eyes hurt. And closing my eyes I could see the lightning shape on my retina even 10 minutes later!! Still, it was amazing. Just hope no harm was done where the lightning came down.
Nature is so fascinating...

Speaking of misheard things... my boyfriend has a 'habit' of mis-speaking... it's not his fault though. He suffers from aphasia after the brain damage he got as a kid, (a few years ago his voice came back...) but he still struggles sometimes, his voice sounds a bit different and he often has no idea his sentences is missing some crucial words.
The first time we talked he told me "My wife cut my hair" ... what he meant was that it was his brothers wife...
And he's not always good at explaining himself... but I have become good at 'reading' him... but this morning we had a bit of a disaster. He likes sending me songs to listen to... and said the following
"This is an odd song, it's about me and you in a way... it's about cheating".
Luckily I know how he is and have grown patient, and waited for him to explain further before I blew up and said things I would have regretted... lol.
What he meant was that the song was about how he wouldn't want to cheat... *shakes head*
