Wow, seems that Grand Budapest Hotel is the big winner this year. I've lost count over how many Oscars the movie has gotten so far.

You missed Ben cracking up at the joke... but other than that, no.
REReader, just exactly what I was thinking. I'm stunned!

Bah, wrong film Desplat! I was just about to cheer... meh.

Hmmm SUDDENLY the Danish commentators are starting to think TIG will win some awards now.
They have been bashing it earlier today

BTW I loved Ben's face when Neil Patrick Harris said his name - his expression was just like "yes... What's the joke going to be this time...?"

It was a polite laugh from him I think "I guess I have to laugh at this like I've never heard anyone joke about my name before..."
But it was a good platform for Travolta to be forgiven I suppose

Wow, what a speech. So well deserved! I'm so glad TIG got an Oscar, even if that might be the only one they get.
Btw, what have Travolta done? I didn't really get the joke since I don't know what happened.

Oh that speech *wipes tear away*
Aaaand cut to Danish commentators "Haahaha 'I tried to kill myself'" ... Excuse me?!?!

Vhanja, last year John Travolta couldn't pronounce a name, the name of the lady he presented with this year... people made a lot of fun for him

Yes, because that was... funny? Apparantly?

?!? I am glad, there are no commentators on the German broadcasting.

Because what he said wasn't even close to the name "Idina Menzel"--which isn't all that hard to say.
That speech had me all teary-eyed. (And 3/4 of the audience, too.)
