Namaste and Hello :)

Namaste (Hello) everyone,
Recently the Sherlock Season 2 was aired on Indian BBC entertainment, (although I had watched it a bit earlier only) but watching it again refreshed my memories and feelings of 'Sherlock' the great...

I don't think I have watched anything like this ever before..be it television or cinema. I do watch Hollywood movies as well but trust me, this is the best thing that I have seen in many years.
I am officially hooked to BBC's Sherlock and finding it extremely hard to wait for season 3... That is why I joined this forum to find a few like-minded here with whom I can share my thoughts, feelings and opinions on this mega show that stars my favorite actor- Benedict Cumberbatch Of course, like many of you, I too am 'Sher-locked to Ben-addicted' now

Re: Namaste and Hello :)

hey  monitaa welcome!!  I  read your review-- very well written,  and buying the dvd's  for both seasons  is  the best thing I've ever done.   It's rather fun, to watch shows online,  right after they've aired in their county of origin.  I  do that quite often.   I've been hooked on Sherlock since 2011  when my  PBS  station re-aired  the first series.  and of course Our Boy Benedict was the reason!!   I've been a fan of SH  for a long time,  I've read most of the stories by doyle.   I  hope to see more posting by you--  we have a LOT  of threads/topics for you to choose from.   I'm  the local kitty,  and I  like to play the games we have here.   everyone calls me skitty.   you may do so,  too.  welcome!!   Do  have fun.

Welcome, Monitaa, how wonderful to have someone from India with us. I really like your signature - one of my favourite scenes in Sherlock - and your review was very good. Enjoy the forum

Re: Namaste and Hello :)

@Skitty
I am an ardent fan of suspense thrillers..I have read not all, but a few of the Doyle's stories when i was a kid ..Sherlock Holmes- the fictional character- is extremely famous in India too..However, this show isn't much heard of in India...Those who've watched it, love it no doubt! And yeah, thanks I saw the games' thread.. will be playing them soon

@Susigo.. Thanks for such a warm welcome!

@Davina: Thanks dear

Re: Namaste and Hello :)

Hello Monitaa. I too enjoyed the reviews, particularly the Lestrade comment  . I thought he was a particularly fine specimen of British policemanhood  . Well done and welcome.

Re: Namaste and Hello :)

Hello,

i am from Germany, I am completely "sherlocked" and "john-hamish-watsoned" since season 2 on German TV ( ARD).
The end of TRF left me really in tears ( poor  John, poor Sherlock, but also poor Mycroft & Molly) , it was one of the greatest and heartbreaking  moments in TV history for me ( "one more miracle for me ... I was so alone... leave  a note, that is what people do, don´t they  ... keep your eyes fixed on me  ... " You always look sad" )
I cannot wait season 3 and the reunion moment(s)!
( Season 3 will probably focused on Sherlock´s long "way home" - back to John, back to London, back to "normal life").

I am student at Frankfurt-am-Main`s Goethe University at German Language and Literature ( Germanistik) and Classic Archeology ( Ancient Greece and Rome).
I am feeling myself a kind of fatefully connected with the city of London ( the third secret main actor of the series) - I was in London three days before the London bombings at the tube at July 7. 2005, having used the tube just there - Russell Square etc. It was really the shock of my life hearing this.
