That's cute! Just like Redbeard was Martin and Amanda's actual dog.
Really?!? I hadn't known that. It's so cute, how much they keep the series within the "family"
Where did you hear that about Redbeard?
Me? From Vhanja's comment

It's on the commentary track of HLV. Steven or Mark says it.
Edit: Nvm, I was sure I heard it there, but according to other sources on the net, it's not true. So I don't know.

Redbeard looked to me like a pure Irish Setter. I didn't think Amanda and Martin had that kind. Their dog Archie looks more like some kind of long-haired dachshund type - but could be a purebred of some sort for all I know. I vaguely remember that Archie was going to appear on some TV show but I didn't think it was Sherlock.

According to this, Redbeard was played by a dog named Murray:

Mark Gatiss tweeted a photo of a store window with the words "Jabez Wilson, Pawnbroker, Est. 1854" on it, together with the text:
We Gingers must stick together... #Sherlock
Well, that's from The Redheaded League--but how does it fit with the weird bride, or the earlier tweets with quotes from The Blue Carbuncle? I WANT TO KNOW NOW!

The bride could be a version of Noble Bachelor. As you know, the guys are very keen on merging different stories together to create something new. I would love a touch of the Red Headed League though...one of my favourite canon stories.

Tweet from Amanda:
It probably just means that they are going to film series 4 in 2016 as Benedict will probably do "Dr Strange" after Hamlet. (I could have done without "this year" but this is just me).

Wow, I really like how these guys think:

OMG!
They are filming at North Gover street today! Loads of pics of Ben, Martin, Una and Moftiss around.
Moffat's son was there too, not sure if he was in costume or just visiting. But he probably wouldn't have those wild curls if he was to play young Sherlock in Victorian times?

Oh great!! But Louis rather looks like being just for a visit?

They also had a photo of Archie, he definitely seems to be in the special.

Oh, he has two sons? You mean this pic?

This is not Moffat's son but the actor who played Archie in TSOT.

Ah, now I remember Archie. Got confused there for a bit.

Archie!! This just gets better and better.
