Re: Cabin pressure

I was just thinking about Books that sound more interesting with the final letter knocked off. That's a tricky one. Any ideas?

BTW, my son just came back from holiday and told me the pilot on his plane said something about cabin pressure. If I had been on that plane I'd died laughing  .

Re: Cabin pressure

Hooray!
My CDs arrived today. I have l to listened the first 4 all in one big block. I think I'm going to listen to them all loads and loads so I know them all off by heart. Then I can play them back to myself in my head and have a private chuckle. (I'll get used to the odd looks!!)

Have fun, Molly, they're just great. Even if nobody in the family gets my hints

Re: Cabin pressure

Molly, welcome in the mysterious world of flying... Of Captains, First Officers, really grown up 29ers, owners of an air-DOT and rude, stupid passengers.

Re: Cabin pressure

Welcome to Cabin Pressure's world, Molly. Please, tell us what you think of it, your favourites... everything!
About the odd looks... well, I have the three series in my iPod and I listen to them in the car, going to work etc... and sometimes, when I stop in a trafiic light or something, people looks at me as if I was laughing at them... you can imagine the way I look, sitting in a small car and laughing all to myself

I'm used to the odd looks by now

Re: Cabin pressure

OK, I've watched the whole of series one now; I don't believe in savouring it or anything!!
Best bits are probably Martin grovelling to Mr, Berling and the frozen cat and the Simon says game, that's just BRILLIANT! Oh, and I've (sort of) learnt how an aeroplane works!
And I just realised you can buy them on itunes so I can get them on my ipod like you, Irene!
Thank-you for the welcome, I am very proud to join your world, I've just got two more series's to go!

Oh, and about the funny looks; If you grin crazily and give them a thumbs-up, they genrally look away, I wonder why?

But I wouldn't do the lemon thing with it. Not if you are laughing like a loon and driving. The policeman who stops you may not be a fan.

Re: Cabin pressure

Have you a yellow car Irene? I think I may get a yellow car one day...just so I know some people will be shouting out 'yellow car!' when I drive past.

And you can cause people pleasure by completing their games!

Edit: I'm not happy with this sentence... what's wrong with it??

My car is red, but it's a bit old now, I guess I should get a new YELLOW one

Ah... That was it! Thanks Davina!
Gosh, if this is my first language I'd hate to think how bad my others ones are!

Everyone plays Yellow car at my school but i've never understood it. There's an official website that tells you the history and everything!

I tried playing it in the car with my Mum, but she didn't exactly appreciate being hit on the shoulder while trying to drive!!

Re: Cabin pressure

Ah Molly! Follow John Finnemore's version and you don't have to hit anyone. It is less violent and definitely less dangerous if you are going to start thumping the driver! Lol

Re: Cabin pressure

Molly, you'll have the complete good rules for Yellow Car when you reach "Ottery Saint Mary" (series 3, episode 4).

I can't play Yellow Car here, nobody knows what it is about and it's too difficult and tiring to explain...
