I inadvertently started a thread when there was already one on the same topic (I thought I checked through but I must have missed it - got to get my lenses checked!). So could someone advise me on how to delete a thread.

I can delete it for you, if you like. Or if you feel you're making an important point that hasn't been made before, or don't want your post to be lost forever, I can merge your topic with the duplicate one and it will just be added like a comment.

Thanks for the info - I think I would like to have it merged with the existing thread. Do I have to PM you or can you do it with me just telling you it is my thread titled "Ben in Stuart: A Life Lived Backwards". I think I would like to keep my first post and have it added to the thoughts on the existing thread.
