Yes. For example what you said about Mark's views on bisexuality.

I don't think he's supposed to be bi either. We see him dating people over the course of years - it would be so easy to make one of them a man if they wanted us to think of him as bi, but that hasn't been done.
Yeah, I agree with this. In my mind, I think John has always been straight, and not really thought much of it being any other way. I think with Sherlock it's more about the person than the gender.

Can you expound Susi?
Though it was true that it caused some discussion.

bb, in case you called anyone here silly I expect your apology. Better tell us if you meant this to say or not.

I get the feeling that some members indeed feel offended by your words, besleybean, as I expected they would. And I really wonder why you wrote them at all if they are not directed at anyone in here. The people out there on tumblr are not going to read them anyway.
And I do not think that I have to explain anything about Mark's views. You brought the subject up. I quoted what he said. That should be enough.

And it's only Johnlockers who lose perspective...? Interesting.
At least Johnlockers do have some sort of perspective, whereas other fans only seem to have what Mofftiss tells them.

I have never said it's only Johnlockers who lose perspective. I said "some fans". There are probably tons of other types of fans and shippers that lose perspective too, that isn't a trait reserved for Johnlockers. I think it happens in every fandom, there are always those who take it too far.

Yeah, well, but this is a Johnlock thread, so I suppose we're talking about Johnlock and Johnlockers here. And you specifically talked about Johnlock and Johnlockers in that passage I was referring to.

Exactly. So I didn't write that some Johnlockers can lose perspective because I think they are the only one who can, but because this is a Johnlock thread.

Well, in that case...

1. The silly fans I referred to were the ones that could be heard on the Mark in India video. Clapping, and screming for Johnlock.
Susi, I'm a tad puzzled by one of your comments...others are repeatedly saying that we are just looking at the subject of Johnlock(or whatever) in general...do we only guide our posts to what has been said on here? Even if they refer to links on here?
But then you said that things would aoppear on Tumblr anyway...so I may as well adrress a wider audience.
However:
2. Thank you for the quote and I should actually point out I missed it: we edited and cross posted I think...
I now see Mark was only talking about some people and specifically himself.
I didn't mean to seem negative about what he'd said anyway, I understand his views.

If you talk about people in India you consider silly, it might be helpful to add the info that you are not talking about people here.
(Even though I guess most of those fans in India might not be half as silly as you think based on the poor info that you have about them.)

Good grief, is there a language issue here?
I refer specifically to the fans(and they sounded mainly female, but impossible to tell for sure) who were heard clapping and shrieking "Johnlock" at Mark, when he was trying to speak at the fan event in India.

I know and that is what I replied to.

In my calling them silly for shouting at Mark, I was being polite.

But what about the rest of us, who just don't see Johnlock in the show? Yes, what Moftiss said confirms it for us, but it's not as if we first saw Johnlock there and then changed our minds because of what Moftiss said. I'm sure there ARE people in that category, and I'm not disapproving of them (in fact, I think it's great that they're open to changing their minds). But for me, and other people I've spoken to, Johnlock wasn't there in the first place.
The thing is, if you don't see Johnlock, you're not going to be going on the internet and talking about it, because there's nothing much to say. I think those of us who want to discuss it are the exception, but I suspect there's a huge group out there who don't see it in the show, and either ignore it, find it funny, or enjoy in the sense of fanfiction, fantasy, etc.
I feel that Johnlock is a way of interpreting the show, not something that the show-makers are trying to show. The friendship, on the other hand - that has been discussed a lot - its depth, its uniqueness, its importance, the fact that it's central to the story. I think we all see that, and again, Moftiss back that up.

There are plenty other topics and threads, I don't see the problem here if some people discuss it and others not? And there is even the friendship thread...

I don't understand what you mean, Harriet, sorry! What problem?

It sounded as if you felt not satisfied with your situation?

Oh, I see! No, not at all! I enjoy talking about it on here. I'm just saying that I think I'm a bit of an exception - if you don't see it in the show there's probably nothing TO talk about, so the average person isn't going to go looking online for something they might not even have registered.
