Which applies to lots of Johnlock...

I can't see anything there. He's drunk. And sick. That's it.

That's because your mind isn't in the gutter like mine. I think you are the healthier one for it.

Hm....no, I think that's because it WAS like that in the show.
You don't know my mind...................................

I did not think of this when watching the scene. And of course you can view it just the way it is - a drunk man vomiting on the carpet.
But if you take together all the aspects - Sherlock on the floor, the stuff on his mouth, his head disappearing in John's mouth (you can see it in slo-mo, the cross-fade is very quick) and in the next scene John's mouth filling the whole screen - one may see a certain sexual subtext, I suppose.

Noooo. That's bromance.

Yes, I forgot. Just like the kneegrope and the boys lying on the stairs the way John and Mary are lying in bed.

That's something else.
But - you said it yourself - if I need slowmotion to see something, IMO it's not intended.

I'm not sure, Mattlocked. Have you seen "Fight club"? At the beginning there are a couple of very quick cuts, where you definitely need slow motion to get the point.

Well, they could have made a clean cut. A cross-fade is a stylistic means that does not happen by chance.

Hm. Cross fade? Now I don't remember anything.
I need to watch that scene and the beginning of Fight Club again.

The cross-fade might have been used to emphasize dizziness of them being drunk.
And in Fight club it's not about cross fades but very very very brief interluding pics.

Mike Stamford in his true form, holding a love-potion:
Now it´s clear why Sherlock and John fell for each other so quickly.

After S3 I don't think much of the text is actually SUB anymore.
