Well, it doesn't have to follow that custom. Maybe John just wanted a tie pin, and he borrowed Sherlock's? That would be cute, I think. (Or you could take it a bit further and say that John was the bride and Sherlock the groom).

Not sure about that. I always thought the custom was just for the bride. But if this is the case, then I want to see his blue pants as well.
It's Blue Pants Friday...!

I've found an actual screenshot, not photoshopped, from the show that is so explicit (if interpreted as Johnlock) that I can't even post it here. That is a feat from a friendship show, I'd say.

Now I am very curious. Do you have a link? (Is there something even more explicit than the pool scene?)

Ok, posting link.
Warning, this might be offensive if you don't like explicit stuff. There's a reason I'm not posting the picture.

Right, if you don't where it comes from ... could be.
But I always see the drunk behind it.

Thank you. And I am not shocked. Not at all.
And there has been some discussion about Sherlock's position on the floor as well but I am not going into that one.

I know, but I found it quite funny. And surprisingly... accurate.

Well, yes, it is, well, ambiguous.. But if you asked the writers about we would get:" oh, just a joke, nothing more, don't you get it?"

That one doesn't even warrant a complicated analysis - it's right there!
