Is it?
Play it again, Sam...yeah I know, that's one of those lines that were never really said!
Of all the Joints in all the world...you had to pick this one...
Something like that!

The great goodbye scene - Bogart telling Bergman a lie to make her go away with her husband. It is just the other way around in HLV - Sherlock telling John a lie and going away himself.

Oh yes, I remember that, too...
But nobody in Sherlock has ever been to Paris...
Well, unless Sherlock did in the Hiatus.
Yes, Susi, but I don't think it's in the same circumstances.

"To the very best of times, John"
Excuse me while I go cry in the corner over here.

No, as I said, it is a nod, not a copy.

But presumbaly Bogey/ Bergman...had a thing, in Paris...
Sherlock and John have never had a thing..in Paris or indeed in any other European capital city

Minor detail that will eventually be resolved...

Wait, London is not a European capital city? Wow, I must be really lousy when it comes to geography.

Wow, did Bogey say that?

Yes. Immediately after the Paris thing. And I also love this one:
"If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life."

You all get this wrong. One of the most romantic movies of all times can easily be tied to a good Bromance...
