Hm, interesting - his hair doesn't seem to be dyed all black, just darker. I can still see some auburn in this pic.

Pretty pic. As for the hair color, it looks as though someone had some Photoshop fun.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Oh, you think that was photoshopped? I've seen those shades in his Sherlock-hair in other pics too, though.

Or maybe the lighting.

Sherlock's hair has been various colors over the seasons, including an auburn brown, but this looks much too highlighted, a shade I can't remember from the show anyway. Whatever, it is certainly pretty.

Oh, the guy on the right. I think that's what's-his-name the political speechwriter in the new Madam Secretary on CBS here in the states. He wears glasses for that role. I think it's the same person?

A hottie:

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

It's starting to get ridiculous how handsome that man is.

He's like fine wine. But IMO the late 30s-early 40s is the prime of life for anyone, even we ordinaries, lol. He has brains, looks, horse sense, education, a craft he loves that he excels at and which garners him much respect from his peers, public adoration, love in his private life (not just Sophie, but parents too). He has the world by the tail, as the expression goes. So yeah. Yum.
