I'm hoping to get to see the movie next week.
Just heard one of my favourite film reviewers - Mark Kermode - give the film, and Benedict's performance, a fantastic review
Unfortunately I just missed the interview with BC that was on just before the review but I'll download the Mayo and Kermode podcast later to listen to it

At the UK box office the film has made 1.8 million pounds during the first two days (with production costs of only 9.5 million pounds).

My boss saw it last night.
She said she cried virtually the whole way through.
She said(and I quote)" Your lad should be a dead cert for the Oscar."
I do apologise, but my boss always refers to Benedict as my lad!
I also informed her that my pal and I cried at the trailer!

Loved this quote and it is so true: I've noticed more than once that often in Benedict's scenes I tend to observe his face, even if it another person speaking.

Yay, I bought a ticket for the afternoon screening at the Curzon Mayfair next Thursday! Now I'm praying that my flight to London isn't delayed. I am going to a show at Southbank Centre in the evening so my only chance to see the film on that day is in the afternoon. I plan to buy another ticket for Friday as soon as tickets go on sale, so if all goes well I'll be able to see the film twice.
Looks like I need to buy a large box of tissues...
