This will probably sound totally weird, but can I just say that it really gives me such a warm feeling when we talk about Sherlock and John as 'boys'...? Oh yes, the two boys...

Beautiful and hearbreaking at the same time.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

One question that just came to me when watching a gif set on tumblr: When John dreams of Sherlock - is this an actual moment from ASiP? It is not new IMO, because he has the old series 1 look but it does not seem really familiar to me either.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Congrats, mrshouse! You're on the side of the angels now!

Susi, you mean the gifset you just reblogged? I would say it's a new moment, I don't think that Sherlock ever looked straight into the camera in ASiP when he said that. He looked straight at John, but not straigt into the camera.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Yes, that is what I thought, too. It does not look familiar. But to me his looks are very series 1. Or they changed the hairstyle a bit to make it look like that.
Which is quite interesting in itself - more than just a flashback to the beginning. John slightly adjusting things in his dream.

That actually makes me wonder whether or not it really is an advantage to have your ship 'winning'. In case of John and Mary, well... for me that would be a victory with a quite bitter aftertaste, but I suppose when you ship them from the bottom of your heart (and I have no idea how that should be possible, but well, I'm a delirious Johnlocker ), then it probably feels fantastic. At least for now.
When your ship comes true, I suppose the really interesting question is: Now what? Because for me one important part of shipping John and Sherlock is not knowing what will happen next... what will they give us in S4, how far will they go, what will they deny us...? Will it continue to hurt so good...?
Then again, once Johnlock happens on the show, what will they give us then? Sherlock and John sitting by the fireplace, exchanging those infamous looks and all that...?
