Sherlock aholmes statue at Crowborough

There is a campaign to have a statue made and erected in Crowborough, Sussex. The statue would cost £50,000 and would be sculpted by Carl Payne. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle lived at Windlesham Manor in Crowborough for 23 years until his death in 1930. His statue stands outside Crowborough Cross. It is hoped that a statue of Sherlock Holmes would boost tourism.

Re: Sherlock aholmes statue at Crowborough

Sounds really nice. But will it be the old deerstalker model or will they go for something more contemporary  ?
