Thanks for the info, Mrs W.
So the Mrs Wenceslas in the series actually has a last name that is really the Anglicized version of a Czech first name. Well, not the first time Mofftiss have slipped up on their research.
I'm still waiting for a Serbian fan to turn up here and tell us that the dialogue at the start of TEH was all BS, too.
Phantom Lady, it really wouldn't have needed Sherlock for everyone to realise that simple truth, would it?
I agree it's one of those immensely quotable lines though that whoever wants to recognise it will recognise.

Yeah that's true La Jolie... it should be that way always. And hey if people can't deal with your worst sides...
I had sent an email to the national Brain Damage association to ask for some advice on my relationship... it's getting pretty serious with my guy. He has Aphasia and I wanted some tips on how to support him and make him understand that it doesn't matter to me.
A lady answered me today with a lot of great advice and also said that our relationship already sounded very affirming.
My mind instantly went "You got that from a book!"

You mean after John says "You got that from a book?"
Sherlock just said "Everyone's got that from a book!"

When you are convinced this is a Sherlock related thing... and only way later realize it's only a logo for a Danish independant film festival

Didn't Benedict attend this once?

He has been in Denmark??

I think so...but I may be wrong!

Mhmm... I can't find anything on google (just a lot of Hamlet related posts...)
I swear if that man has been here, in my country and I didn't know... Oh god.

Possibly I'm thinking of some other film festival...

Today I was handed a stack of letters at work and asked to post them... the first letter was to someone with the lastname 'Watson' which made me smile... just for a laugh I looked at the next letter to see if it was for 'Holmes'...
Turns out it was for someone with a last name starting with Holme... and I almsot lost it.

-Deerstalker

Aaawh!
And when your guy writes this to you "Haha you and your Sherlock Holmes memory" and you blush even worse reading that; than you do when he's being romantic

well, they could use google, but..you know, it´s just a show. and nobody is perfect /ehm, except Sherlock, of course/. so even if I´m..not pleased by these details, I can understand everybody else is not bothered with it. and yes, Serbian fans are expected!!
back to the topic: I finished Pratchett´s book. when I´ve found out it´s title is "THUD!" in the original version, guess what was the first thing in my mind.

When you spend months scouring the shops for a trench coat that is *just* the right length and *just* the right colour to be similar enough to the Belstaff because you won't accept anything else.
I did. And I found one. Not wool, but it looks similar enough that people know who I am!
I also bought a tube of fake blood, because, like This is The Phantom Lady, I will be going around during halloween as a...well...phantom Sherlock. My friends and I are coordinating this year: I'm immediate-post-Reichenbach Sherlock, one of my friends is immediate-Post-Reichenbach Jim (we're dousing the back of her head with the fake blood) and the third is going to be a tear-streaked immediate-Post-Riechenbach John.
Yep, we might have run a bit off the cliff.
