Do you mean a diary from the cat's view? Or more focus on the main humans?
Because you can always do a neat, different version of your own, but immediately made me think of this:
A heartbreaking sweet cat's view of life in it's neighborhood… you might enjoy it if like cats, or get some thoughts from! The guy has also written some other books 'by' cats. Now that you remind me, two other favorite mystery/fantasy books I read had cat narrators, if you like that kind of thing. 
I think there's always room for another one!

I am watching a Danish childrens Christmas show on DVD at the moment and having a lovely cup of tea... It has a cult status here and was something I grew up with
I know it's early... but they are showing the 3rd series in December and I want to be caught up before then.
